Macrobiotics Today magazine has been published continuously since
its founding in New York City by George Ohsawa and Herman Aihara in 1960. In 1961,
publication of the then monthly magazine was moved to California by Herman Aihara and was
published by the Ohsawa Foundation through most of the 1960s. Macrobiotics Today has been
published by the George Ohsawa Macrobiotic Foundation since 1971 and is currently
published on a bimonthly basis. The cover price is $5.50 per copy. Issue Highlights: Macrobiotics Today is the leading voice of modern macrobiotics with informative articles, interviews, and reports representing diverse views in the macrobiotic community. Steeped in the George Ohsawa tradition, Macrobiotics Today provides issues, information, and articles on diet, health, and environmental consciousness from a macrobiotic perspective that combine traditional macrobiotic views on physical, emotional, and spiritual health with contemporary thinking and scientific knowledge. Recently, Macrobiotics Today presented articles by George Ohsawa, Michio Kushi, Herman Aihara, Michael Rossoff, Dr. Sherry Rogers, Cecile Levin, Patrick McCarty, Meredith McCarty, Ed and Wendy Esko, Carl Ferré, and others. Also, there were interviews with Dr. Benjamin Spock, Dr. Martha Cottrell, Dr. Neal Barnard, and Dr. Dean Ornish.
